With the westerlies clearing the sky the early light had been cracking.
With the rain that started the week long gone I found my little spot of paradise for today at Pt Arkwright settling in early so as not to miss a second as it unfolded
The cloud and showers passed through from yesterday leaving a calm and cloudless morning.
Some nice early light had Yaroomba looking a picture of serenity
The sun graced the morning with some beautiful and unexpected colour which 15 minutes before seemed completely improbable. Before it did I thought I might have a play with light and props for something completely different.
Caught up on the road on a busy morning I stopped along the roadside as the early morning glow lit up the countryside.
The forecast was not promising for this morning and indeed driving home to the Sunny Coast last night all indications were for a miserable morning.
Despite that there was some really nice light around Coolum as the sun did its best to break up the clouds
This morning I played cat and mouse with patches of fog as it poured up off the flats up over the range varying my view from non existent to beautiful. After dodging and weaving to a few different spots I settled into a quiet spot on the outskirts of Tobruk Park where I managed some clarity as the sun peeped through the clouds bak toward the coast!
Sitting on top of the range at Toowoomba this it was a joy watching the pale winter morning blush the valley with pink on an unusually benign morning.
Light showers didn’t fill my spirit with optimism as I headed North to beat the cloud cover.
However as it so often happens the scuds of rain lifted under the intensity of the sun leaving some nice reflections on the low tide sand at Castaways Beach.
