A short walk down the North Shore at twin waters is Pincushion Island, perched on the mouth at the Maroochy River. With the buildings at Maroochydore reflecting the rising sun behind me I had a perfect perch on the coloured rocks of both the beach and the waves breaking against the water flowing from the falling tide.
