Soaking up the last of winter

This is the last working day of winter. Soon these lovely calm mornings and clear sky’s and water courtesy of the predominant westerlies will be replaced by trade winds and localised sea breezes which stir up both the water and air.

The heavy smell and haze of salt air will change the landscape marking the start of another season, so this morning I wanted to take some extra time to appreciate this extraordinary run of weather and all the great things of our mild winters before we slip into board shorts and tee shirts for another summer.
