A change sweeps through…

Noosaville Kayaks

The school holidays are still in full swing here and yesterday morning, even early, the streets and beaches were swarming with people. As I mentioned in the previous post a predicted southerly change swept through in the early hours of the morning bringing plenty of cloud and pushing up the swell even further. I headed off up to Noosaville where the river banks were deserted looking for some colour in the kayaks looking strangely neglected, all packed away as if people had moved on.
Heading down to the beach though was a different story. Laguna Bay is home to Noosa, tucked into the most southern corner and is pretty much paradise and duly recognised as such. It has a series of small bays and associated points stretching out through the National Park, each one a little more exposed as they bend further to the South. As the swell wraps into the bay the points come alive with clean, smooth waves meaning paradise also gets pretty crowded. This second photo tries to capture that!
