Yesterday I joined 45 other people in a day cleaning up around the coast of Fraser Island. The event was fabulously organised by Ocean Watch and included morning and afternoon tea and all National Park passes to get over to the Island. over 80 bags of rubbish was collected, mostly plastic bottles and drums. Hats off to all involved.
Fraser Island is the worlds largest sand island and home to the purest breed of dingoes, protected by its isolation from the mainland. I have wanted to photograph them for years but never seem to be in the right place so I had to take advantage of the opportunity when this curious fellow dropped by!
